Wausau School District Referendum Projects
Wausau, WI
Clark Dietz was hired to provide electrical design, engineering and consulting for six schools in the Wausau School District as part of the 2015 $29.6 million Referendum. The school district master plan was to close the Early Childhood/4K A.C. Kiefer Center. As a result, additional space was needed for Early Childhood and 4K programs at existing elementary schools. Four of the six projects were additions to existing elementary schools for this purpose. Services included lighting, power, data, security and fire alarm for additions to Thomas Jefferson, G.D. Jones, Hawthorn Hills and Riverview.
The remaining two projects were at Wausau East High School and Wausau West High School and consisted of a remodel and addition to the Technology Education spaces within these schools. The remodel at Wausau East created separate manufacturing spaces for metals and woods and the addition added an auto shop. The remodel and addition at Wausau West created separate manufacturing spaces for metals and woods and added a greenhouse. Services included lighting, power, equipment connections, data, security and fire alarm for these two high schools.
