This project was part of the Tollway’s 15-year, $12 billion capital program, Move Illinois: The Illinois Tollway Driving the Future. The Tollway has committed $3.1 billion to the ISTHA Elgin O’Hare Western Access project.
Clark Dietz provided CM engineering services for roadway and bridge patching, widening, and overlay; signal modernization; lighting relocation; installation of two electronic tolling facilities; new signage; installation of new fiber optics and state-of- the-art intelligent transportation systems; stormwater BMP facilities; retaining wall construction; noise wall reconstruction; interchange rehabilitation; and ramp alignment.
Services included on-site inspection, review layout of contract including design changes, materials inspection and testing, documentation, pay estimates, and change orders.
