In recent news, we’ve followed stories about construction of the world’s largest wildlife crossing, as well as funds earmarked for wildlife crossings in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal. While they may not be as large in-scale, Clark Dietz designs wildlife crossings for many clients in Indiana during bridge and small structure replacements.

With the help of interviews from Katy Duffield, children’s author of Crossings, Brian Boszor of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, as well as Clark Dietz clients and staff, Kevin Hetrick, PE explored how to make wildlife crossings and conservation approachable in the context of engineering design.
